Welcome to Soroptimist International of South Bay (SISB)!

We’re a passionate group of women making a real difference for women and girls across the South Bay—from Santa Monica to Long Beach. Founded in Manhattan Beach in 1953, we’re proud of our deep roots and excited about our fresh name that reflects the wide community we serve.

SISB is part of Soroptimist International, a global volunteer organization nearly 100 years old. We belong to the Camino Real Region, alongside 22 other clubs serving communities from Santa Barbara to Long Beach and out to Pasadena.

What We Do

We focus on hands-on projects and award-winning programs that empower women and girls through education and mentorship:

  • Dream It, Be It – Career mentoring and inspiration for high school girls

  • Live Your Dream Awards – Cash grants for women who are pursuing education while supporting their families

  • Community Service Projects – Like preparing menstrual health kits, supporting mental health, helping survivors of human trafficking, and more

Want to help out? You might enjoy leading a workshop, helping select grant recipients, or assembling hygiene supplies for teens—whatever speaks to your heart and schedule!
